"On Matter, Monkeys, and the King"
Public artwork commissioned to the artist Trimpin, located in the new North Terminal at SeaTac International Airport.  Installed in 2004.
Perspective view of installation.  The glass and steel case encloses two kinetic sculptures created by Trimpin, which travel along a track system in the base.  The abstract shapes on top capture sound from within and resonate this to the viewers.
End view of installation, located adjacent to a "people mover" walkway.  My role in this project involved assisting Trimpin during concept development and proposal stage.  Then I provided design development and detail design for the case and accoustic top elements.
Design illustration of a case module.  The entire frame is over 70 feet long but this had to be assembled at the site in sections eight feet in length due to limitations of access into the building.
